Mercury News reports: "A San Francisco federal judge today struck down California's ban on same-sex marriage, concluding that it tramples on the equal rights of gay and lesbian couples and setting the stage for an appeal that appears destined for the U.S. Supreme Court.

There isn't one for heterosexual couples, and there shouldn't be one for same-sex couples either. This opinion piece was published in the in the editorial section of the Los Angeles Times last week. Do I need to say I agree? Of course I do. Good to hear a sane opinion every now and then.
