Last Friday, Germany's minister for foreign affairs, in the US he would be the secretary of state, Guido Westerwelle married his partner Michael Mronz. The couple was married by by the major of Bonn reports Germany's largest daily newspaper the Sueddeutsche Zeitung. The two men met seven years ago and have been a couple since. The same news paper reported earlier that Westerwelle traveled with Mronz during some offical state visits, such as Japan and China, but did not take his partner to visits to country where homosexuality is illegal such as Saudi-Arabia.
